    Default Beaverhead Rods

I've only gotten to use a few bamboo rods over time but these rods seem really interesting. Has anyone ever used one? I think the technology employed is pretty amazing. I have no idea what the cost for one of these rods will amount to but they are definitely not your traditional bamboo rod. If anyone has had a chance to put a hand on one let please let me know as I might try to check one out when I go visit family this summer. Also are the TFO's an internal ferrule rod? I saw the male end on some colored gray in contrast to the rest of the rod. I havent got a fly shop too close to me so I figured I'd ask those who know. Thanks!

Wayne is a super rod maker. Prices for his rods are very expensive but.... well worth it.

A few of us had a ball casting the Beaverkill at the '04 FFF Conclave in W. Yellowstone.
Wayne echoed for us the words of the bike component builder for Lance Armstrong, Keith Bontrager, 'there's no such thing as a bad material, only bad application!'
The rods are incredibly light and beautiful. They act and feel like a great graphite. To some... therein lies the rub! Why pay that much for a rod that mimics a good graphite rod?
I really liked the carbon fiber ferrules he makes... but then, a traditionalist I ain't.
I might have to get one when I paint my masterpiece!

Thanks. I have been looking at the site and reading about Wayne in the related articles and that seems like something he would say. I appreciate everybodys input. Thanks again!
