    Default Colorado Caddis

    I was fishing a reservoir for crappie, gills & Perch. For several hours fishing was medioce at best despite trying different warmwater flies. I put on a Colorado Caddis which I use for trout in still water. The crappie literally ate the fly up. Some swallowed it so deep that removing the fly was a task. Since I was fishing for food that was OK by me.

    Here is a picture of the caddis if you want to try one. Sorry for the poor quality.

    I fish a lot of elk hair caddis for pan fish. I'll have to add this little guy to my arsenal. Looks like it would make a really good dropper. Thanks.
    If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
