    Default Just kicking myself

Went to Idaho, had a simple wonderful time, but on the return trip in my
fish pond bag I kept three reels , one of those reels an Abel Tr light
    came up missing.

Now I had this bag in my possession as a carry on and did play with another reel while in flight but I will be darn if I remember fiddling with the TR light
that is now missing. I suppose it could of dropped during my opening the
bag but it was rather deep down and I simply can not remember.

At any rate I am venting here to try to come to terms that I may never see
this reel again and it was one of my reel favorites

So if any of you happen to have a TR light enjoy it!

    Thanks for listening

I don't feel any better yet, in time

    Unhappy Bummer

    Steve -

What a bummer at the end of a good trip.

I know you talked about that reel and how much you liked it. Maybe it will still show up ??

Talking The rest of the story

So, I called the airlines lost and found today,

They indeed found my small black pouch with the reel..

Headed right over to the airport and got it...

The reel has great memory value I bought it for Michael when he was five
he caught his first fish with it. We had our first river lunch together
    that same day.

It matches perfectly with his Sage 379ll rod.
Feelings I guess only a fly-fisher would know..

but as a Dad I am sure many of you can appreciate it..

    Cool

I am very glad you got your son's reel back, things can be replaced, things connected to memories can't.

Having spent a fair amount of time letting hotel staff prove to me they were honest, I am equally glad you have no suspicious thoughts about the people you encounter on your trip. BTW, most of the people at the hotels proved to me they were honest, a very few we gave the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere.

Great news Steve. Just goes to show you that you're living right.
