    Default Its hot........

......here. I want to go fishing but it is to darn hot. Right now I wouldn't mind being a fish. It is even to hot to tie flies. I know, I tried and all I did was sweat. This evening I will be going fishing when it cools a bit. Perhaps a searun cutt can be had in the lower river. Man its hot.

Pretty hot over here in Western Montana the past few days, too. The water in the trout stream I was fishing yesterday was warm to the point that I was thinking maybe I shouldn't fish it. The one I hiked at today was a lot colder, but it was a seven mile hike ( one way ) to the fishable section, and that just didn't seem like all that good an idea in 90F heat.

    Kerry,

It hit 100 here yesterday. In two hours I'm leaving for 8 days along the Wynoochee River. Maybe in the evenings some cutts or maybe even a summer steel will come out to play.

You guys should visit Iceland to cool off a bit. Catch and taste some arctic char, brown trouts and atlantic salmon.

Its cool here for this time of year. We've had just 10 days of "average" or about temps during June and July and 3 record lows.

You all need a wee bit of this! Many of the lakes were still iced in. Snow banks/drifts where you couldn't get in to some of them. Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!

Oh, and just so you know ... I'm back in KC now. Heat and humidity, thank you ... NOT!!!
Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

Betty, that picture was darned near as pretty as you are. Cary is one lucky guy to have you with him in a place like that.

Warm regards to both of you,
    Ed
