Members New Rod

One of the members and companion PA Fish-In decided to get a 6'6" 2wt rod built. I thought to make a slideshow of the rod getting built.

Was the wood for the reel seat from that 300 yr old tree Dave knocked down at the shore lunch gathering?

Folks, as good of a rod builder and fisherman as Randy is, he's an even better chef. No one person should be allowed by law to have that much talent!

If you keep posting pictures of your workmanship, we'll never get to go fishing. You'll be locked in the shop all day.

Dave - you shoulda got the Hardy reel - this rod deserves it. Just beautiful!

Well Dave had a red bumper and that is what gave the wood all that color........
I went up to that same location and found the tree almost dead and falling over,so I saved a bit of it.
The blank is from a line of blanks that I sell. What I can tell you is that they are USA made.

Dave should be getting on here soon and seeing his prize. He and I have been having email problems.

bigdaddy nice craftsmenship, the reel seat and handle are amazing and I most say the wrapping is just awsume.
But I really like that you put it into a slide show which was great to watch. Keep up the good work this is what I hope to be able to do some day.
