    Default Introduce myself

    Hello all
Came across this site quite by accident and I think it's probably the best thing on the internet.
I've been pursuing this sport for a lot of years and still managed to avoid becoming skilled at it ! I hope I can indulge in the wealth of knowledge that seams to be so freely shared on this site and still not be plagued with becoming good at it . Becoming too skillfull always seams to ruin a person.

Welcome aboard, you are not alone in "having avoid becoming highly skilled" department. There are a lot of great folks gentlemen and ladies. THey seem to become some of the best friends you have never personally met.

51BC, welcome! Hang on and enjoy a great ride. This is generally a pretty good bunch, and they know whereof they speak.

    Howdy 51 ...
Welcome to the gang. As for the rest of the bunch... wel, they're all top notch folks.
Me, well I have a very well stocked supply of insignificant but interesting and entertaining knowledge. Which I will share.... Greetings from sunny So. Oregon...

    Hey 51BC,

Northeast Minnesota? I spent my formative years in Northeast North Dakota. If memory serves, you get a lot of winter up that way.

Welcome to FAOL from sometimes sunny Western Washington.

Folks here tend to be friendly and willing to help out a struggling fly angler. There's a lot of info on this site. If you have a month or so of spare time, just hit the archieves and start reading.

Be sure to stop by the chatroom in the evenings. A bunch of aspiring fish bums hang out there and love to yak.

    Again, welcome aboard.
