    Default Mucilin?

To all of you who fish Furled Leadres,

Which color of Mucilin, or what do you use as a floatant?

Add another vote for the red tin (or plastic).

    Yup, the best choice IMHO.

    It does eveything Mucilin does...

And plain old Johnson's Paste Wax is still several orders of magnitude cheaper and very effective...

    Question Why Bother ??

I fish leaders furled from Danville 210 Flymaster Plus fly tying thread almost exclusively. Don't put anything on them. They sink. But they don't sink a dry fly. In fact, they won't sink a size 18 dry with a small dropper in moderate current. I suspect that you get a better drift with a submerged furled leader than with one with any kind of floatant on it, and it's a lot less fuss and mess.

Wondering if anyone else has tried furled leaders for dry flies without trying to make it float ??

    The fish are always right.
