This will be standard, not fine.
I'm not sure they make fine.

    Smile Fine Variegated Chenille

I checked the Wapsi catalog, if they don?t sell it then it most likely is not made.
All their variegated chenille is in size medium only. Looks like you may want to make a couple dubbing loops of different colored dubbing and create your own variegated chenille look.

    Hi DazWah,

I spoke to Mr. Marv Taylor a while back, and he advised that the small sizes of varigated chenille that he likes are not currently being made. The manunfacturer has advised him that there is not enough interest in the small sizes, I assume this means there is little profit due to relatively low demand.

Mr. Taylor is working on a deal with a potential source of manufacture, and if it does work out, he will be the distributer. He will especially handle the colors that he prefers.

He advised to check with him late this fall, and he should know more at that point.

Thus, it is fairly certain that the small sizes are not being made, and are not currently available. Consequently, when you see some in fly shop, buy it.

When wanting to use varigated chenille in a very small size, I use a dubbing loop with alternating sections of color. This is more effort and time consuming than having the small size of chenille, but at least will give roughly the same effect, and is an approach I have used in the past.

    Regards,

    Gandolf

    you might check www.anglersworkshop.com

I use medium variegated chenille for my buggers. I will check to see if I have any smaller stuff, and arrange to send it your way. May be a week or so, I am out of town for a while.

This is just something you can try if you want to:

Tie in the 2 colors of small chenille that you want and then twist them together and then do your body wrap. That is the way I make up mine when needed.

Just a suggestion and nothing more...

I found some wolly bugger ver. chenille at Gander Mtn. and they called it small. I know I would have actually liked it bigger but it isn't too bad. # on the label is CWA047.

Check here http://www.crazyanglertackle.com/ He's got some verigated but I don't know what size. His prices are really good and you can call him or email him and see if he can get it for you.

He also carries some of the new age chenille that crappie anglers use to tie jigs with and it's some seriously COOL STUFF.
