Thread: dubbing brushes

Another tip on the roller skate bearings. I got mine from a roller rink that had a bunch on hand. Also, I used a piece of wood for the handle saving several dollers over those fancy black knobs which were about $4 at a local hardware store. In addition, the flat piece of wood allows you to simply place your finger on the flat side and then spin it around much faster. I can't see the point of attaching a drill or dremal as it doesn't take that long to spin one by hand.

I'll try to post a link to the one I built- I can't figure how to add a picture to this site.

Well, I think I found the picture I posted on FTF so will try to copy a link to it here. You can see the handle is just a small piece of scrap wood so you can place your finger near the edge and spin it quite fast.

I get mine at Hobby Lobby. They are the cheapest I've found and fit perfectly. They's usually around $2.99 now but you can find them on sale for $2.00, especially if you sign up for their email specials. If you don't have Hobby Lobby in your area, let me know and I'll ship a couple up to you (xacto knives not Hobby Lobby stores)

    Wink Cheaper

It's not turbo, but maybe someone needs the cheaper version to start out. Found this one in the "tying tips" archive.
