Great post! I really should try this out, some of the carp around central Pa, susqehanna river I've seen very large. Well over 36" The whole problem I see they never seem to be feeding, always cruising. I'd like to get one on the end of my line. When are the peak times they feed?

Check water temperatures. Ideally they start moving around 60 degrees and peak around 70. In the northern part of the country we are pretty much there now on most lakes and rivers.

Caught one the Biggest for me two days ago. No picture, as I was by myself and this thing was a bit for me to handle.

I was on a steep bank. Got him to the edge and realized, he ain't gonna fit in my net. I then tried to put the net over his head and then grab tail to lift to shore.
But, got head in net, he wiggled, hook came out, he swam out of reach.
    This thing was about 30+"
Took what felt like, FOREVER to get it in. FUNNNNNNN!!!!!!

Oh yeah...it was on the Rainy's HEX.
