Any suggestions on how to remove Ferrules and tip tops from Bamboo. Also what type is close to the original ferrules. I've noticed they have different ones.Come'on Back!

Heat, carefully applied to the tip top/ferrule NOT the cane with a heat gun or alcohol lamp should loosen them for removal.

The ferrules MAY be pinned. Look for a small pin that goes completely through the ferrule halves and the cane of the rod. You will need to punch this pin out first with a small diameter pin punch or something that will enable you to push it out far enough to grab with pliers. Be careful NOT to flatten the ferrule in the process.

I personally don't know of anyplace selling the old brass ferrules but I'd go with nickel silver ferrules. Try Golden Witch for parts.
