Ok jeff... no problem... If your new to tying, joining fly swaps is a good way to learn from different tyers by trying to tie the flies you receive when the swap is over...

Ok I m tying a shrimp called the Roddock Shrimp that I came across in the FFF Fly Pattern Encyclopedia. I made a few modifications and I posted a picture here so you can see what I will be doing. I guess we stay with the name Modified Rodduck Shrimp.

Bugman, I thought I'd bump this thread up to see if we can get a few more tyers to sign up. The more the merrier. Come on folks. Jim

I am tying mine right now. I did notice one goof I made, though. I listed my pattern as the Easy Crayfish, when actually it is titled the "Simple Crayfish".

It is a pattern from the LeeRoy Hyatt show, and I have used it for both trout and smallmouth up here. I tie it weighted with a bit of lead free wire. It works pretty well in water that's too clear for the fish to be fooled by a wooly bugger. It is not as sophisticated as some of the other patterns, but it can be a real catcher on the right days. I even took walleye with it fishing in a lake!

I will wait for entries to close, and see how many more I need to tie!
