    Default Nervous

I am leaving tuesday for my weeklong camping trip to my favorite lake. Getting things ready has b een hectic and nerve racking. We have to get the campsite setup for all the guests and get spots saved. That is a lot of work. the thing I am nervous about is in the last three years I have not been skunked fly fishing. That is what I am nervous about. What happens if I get skunked. Will I take it like a good fisherman and enjoy the ime on the water or will I act like my usual self. Don't get me wrong I am not bragging just have been blessed the last three years. Now lets throw into the equation the fact I am tying flies for everyone and am known for knowing this water very well and have outfished everyone in the past. People have been bragging me up and that is what makes me the most nervous. I am going to go out and fish hard but man am I nervous.

    Bob -

With the adrenaline rush you'll have going when you get there, the fishies will probably just jump into the boat to save themselves the trouble of tangling with you.

Hey HarleyBob you are tying flies for everyone? Well then if anyone catches a fish it is down to you! Plus if no one catches it is not down to you, it is weather or temp related or too bright or too dark, there are too many or not enough hatches, it is too windy or too calm.
So to re-iterate if they catch fish kudos goes to you, if they dont catch fish it is the conditions. A no lose situation for you.
Of course if you catch fish and they don't then it may be your fault! You must have given them the wrong fly or kept the best flies for your own use, Hmm I see why you are nervous.
All the best, hope you have a great trip.
    Mike.
