    Joe,
    I stumbled upon this Quote, in response to your Joke. The person who thought of it, was honored as the "Favorite" response, for this long standing Joke.
    It sure is FUN stirring up trouble! I want to apologize to JC, for any confusion I might have caused him! LOL
    I also think I have taken some heat off of you, since you always get spammed about Spam.

    Would that be Spam with mayo? ...or Miracle Whip?

    SPAM needs no Mayo. It truly " stands on it's own". BUT, a Spam , Lettuce and Tomato sandwch w/ Hellman's would NOT be snubbed by me.

    PS: Joe V.- very sorry for where "we've" taken your post.

    Default tomatoes !!!!!

    You're talking tomatoes. How about Fried green tomatoes with a blob of HELLMANS mayo on the top. Huh? How about that. Now you're in food heaven.
    Or tuna fish sandwiches with chunks of onion made with real mayo. I fail to understand how anyone in their right mind would put "Miracle Whip" in tuna fish sandwiches. Ya think they put it between two slices of bread to hide the flavor?
    When I was a kid I ate "Miracle Whip". Now that I'm grown only the REAL deal will do.

    Default Mash Potato Candy

    Whew, all this talk of mayo and spam and tomatoes brought back a few memories from childhood. Although I never realized it till an adult my family was poor. My mother used to make my sister and I candy from leftover mashed potatoes. Sounds nasty but it was quite good but what a sugar overload. She would take mashed potatoes and combine with powdered sugar and probably other things and then spread the mixture on to a sheet of waxed paper. (never heard of "saran wrap" back in those days) Then she would put a layer of peanut butter on top and roll it all up...stick it in the fridge for a few hours. Next she would slice it so the candy appeared to be pinwheels. Mmmm, mmmm.
    Which brings back another memory. When margarine first came out it was ball shaped wrapped in plastic. There was a red dot inside the package. In order to get the color you had to knead the ball !!! It was a far cry from what we have today.

    This is great. I can barely read these posts through the tears of laughter. However, I feel compelled to offer this;
    Comparing Salad Dressing to Mayo is like comparing jalapenos to chocolate fudge. They are two different food groups and each has it's own application. I like them both. But I also like fiberglass and bamboo when it come to fly rods.
    There, now this string is about fly fishing.

    Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
