    Can't help you on the reel but just wanted to welcome you to FAOL. I am sure others here are familiar with that particular reel and will soon respond. Again welcome to the site and enjoy all within these pages,...Bob

    Blaino;
    Welcome aboard, visit often!
    I have and have used Cabela's reels. Fine products but you may want to lood at the Pflueger reels they carry. Under 30 bucks and very nice
    You don't say what weight you're looking at?

    Welcome to the neighborhood Blaino. Just threw another log on the fire and the coffee is hot so stay awhile. You will enjoy this site and your new neighbors.

    As for the reels, I have several Cabelas reels and have always had great use from them with no problems.

    Welcome Blaino...as you are already learning, there is NO friendlier, helpful, welcoming bunch of people than right here!

    I'm also not familiar with that model, but Cabelas' is right up there at the top with their customer service, & IMHO that may be the most important part of a purchase. I say "GO for it!".

    Hi Blaino,

    I don't know that particular reel model but I haven't been disappointed with Cabela's products ever. I bought their 2 weight fly fishing outfit and have been highly pleased with it after a summer and fall of heavy use. If there's problem Cabela's will make it right!

    BTW, welcome to the group. 8T

    You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it's a real short camping season.
