No vanity plate as they charge more for it each year here. If it was a one time charge I would do it.
Paying moe for the litle sticker, that I must put on myself, just bugs me.

Fishing the Ozarks
Just replaced my plate in September. The old one read: KLAWOCK on an Alaska plate. It stands for the town, river, and Native American Chief whose namesake the town and river are. The Klawock river is my favorite place to Salmon fish in Alaska. -6 consecutive annual trips thus far. The new plate - also an Alaska tag reads: FISH AK
Lots of folks asked about the Klawock plate and it was getting roughed up from front of truck on farm use. Pronounced- Klo-WOCK.
FISH AK-is self explanatory. Go if you haven't been yet is all I can say.
PS- I live in North Carolina.......a looooong ways from Alaska but worth the trip every time!

I fish, therefore I swam.

I don't have a vanity plate. Used to run an "Environmental Awareness" plate, until I tired of the extra fee.
Recently, however, I saw some guy in one of these monster trucks with wheels as tall as most car roofs.
Hanging from his back bumper was a bull scrotum and his plate read "GotNuts?"
I assumed he was trying to compensate for something else. Or perhaps he was referring to his willingness to pay so much money to fuel his inefficient ride.
Who knows.
Just a standard issue plate. I miss the old Pennsylvania blue and gold pate with the slogan,"You've got a friend in Pennsylvania" on it. I understand our state may sell us honorably discharged vets plates for our branch of service. If they do mine will be United States Army. HOOOOOH-RAAAAAH!
Neat post, Marco. I like it.

To all you vets,
THANK YOU!!! I always appreciate seeing the license plates for those who have sacrifically served our country. I always make it a point to say (particularly to Viet Nam vets) welcome home and thank you for making sure that I have the freedom to go fishing, worship freely, express myself without fear of persecution, choose an occupation, own property, and all of the other benefits of living in this free country.
May God bless you all very richly.
What else??? FLY FISH
