Redington A/S

Does anyone have any experience with Redington A/S reels....never seem to hear about them?

They were discontinued. The drags did not hold up long term for the salty environment and many people complained of the handles coming off, and problem cured by removing the screw, adding a drop of loctite, and reattaching.

Redington reels that have followed it have been much better.

I believe these were the "Orvis" Redingtons.
I've had a 3/4 for years, fished fresh only, never had any issues.
...And I think the AS was designed for freshwater only; the AL for salt.
