Thread: New Toy : )

Thumbs up New Toy : )

Hot dog! Got myself a new toy today. I just cannot wait to get out and put it to use. While I would have liked the Canon version of this I just could not spend those kind of dollars and the reviews on the Tamron model are very good so I pulled the trigger today and spent some bank.

    Stay tuned . . .

I hope it has image stabilization. My Canon with the same features is an IS and when the IS function is disabled, getting clear photos is VERY difficult.

No, this Tamron does not have IS but I have been shooting with this model and the Canon without and so far so good. I would liked to have gotten the Canon version with IS but just could not bring myselt to stimulate the economy quite that much : )

    Thumbs up Quite a lens

    Dr. Fish,

At full magnification, you should be able to get some wonderful wildlife shots up close and personal. Looks like an excellent choice. 8T

    Default Wow!!

Lots of fun to be had!!!

I love the 70-200mm! I have a 70-300 on my D-80 and LOVE the flexibility it gives me! I do pack around the tripod on most outings, but it's worth it!!

IMHO, the Tamron lenses offer fine quality and optics!

Very nice digital lens! Of course we expect to see pictures too. Tamron makes some excellent glass!
