    Default Biots

    Hello

I am going to be turkey hunting this year and was wondering where the biots are located, and what they look like. I would also like to know what other feathers I can use besides teh tail feathers.

    CDPaul,

Just so there is no confusion..EVERY feather on a turkey has a use in fly tying...it's only how must time YOU want to spend on the carcasse harvesting them (or skining out the bird-even better).

links are great and if you do take a turkey just sit down and admire the bird for a few moments then start looking at all the feathers they all can be used in tying even the beard makes a great segmented body . if you do take all the feathers you will need a lot of zip lock bags to put them in. all i can say is go have a great time and if you get a bird that is just iceing on the cake
