I recently purchased this item from Cameta Auctions ( Cameta Camera ) on eBay and it is a terrific item fro stabilizing the camera. It is called a Steady Stock.

Works great on the DSLR now I am going to use it on my video camera. I am a big guy and the sling is long enough to go over my head, around my neck, put my arm through it and have the camera hanging comfortably at my side. This is a great tool and Cameta is a great seller!

Actually, looks pretty good. Years ago ( jeeze, 40 or more) I bought a rifle stock and cut it just right for a movie camera. Worked though.

I have no affiliation with Cameta, Amazon, eBay or Agonic. I know how bad I shake from the diabetes and I thought this would help me prevent ruined shots. It is not fool proof but has helped immensely! Really great for those who have cameras without Image Stabilization and a bonus for the ones that do have Image Stabilization too. I am going to fasten my remote shutter release to the stock so I can squeeze it like a trigger.

That would make a beautiful, although pricey, stock! I will make mine American Walnut with an oil finish to match my Ruger M77 bolt action rifle.

Camera Shake Reduction turned off in the next one and at the end of a very long, strenuous hike. Focal length 300mm (35mm film equivalent of 450mm)!
