Planning a short trip up to Townsend Tennesee and while there will be trying to catch a few fish on the Little River. Has anyone on this forum fished that area? Places to fish and any other helpful information will be appreciated.

Very strongly ditto TomW. Littleriveroutfitters.com is one of the most informative and upto date sites you will find!!!Chucked full of info! Stop in at the LRO when up there to get any last minute advice on hatches. The Bugs (Quill Gordon and Blue Quills) have started hatching and trout rising well the past week. The name of the game is water temp. Hatches start low and proceed up the mountains as the water warms.

+1 on Little River Outfitters. It's my all time favorite fly shop. The daily fishing report is informative as is their online forum. A lot of the guys who hang out on their forum are locals and have forgotten more about fishing the area than most of us will ever know and they're happy to share information with you. There's not a lot of the "secret hole" and "don't name the stream" garbage there. Ask and they will give you the real info.
When you get in town, stop in and ask. They will pull out a map and show you how to get to the streams you want to fish.

The above posts are great advice. LRO - Byron and Paula - are top notch people. The store is one of the best fly shops I have ever been in. If they don't have it there, you probably don't need it.
Also, the forum attached to the website is very informative on fishing in the TN or NC area. I read it all the time.
Another shout out for LRO.
If you get a hankering for some brookies, head up into the Park a ways. They are there for the taking but are pretty small. Small wooley buggers, emergers will get them.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.
