    Could someone tell me where I could order some medium chenille in this color? I think it is called "herring blue".

    That is a hard color to come by ...

    Here's the ebay solution - jot down the yarn brand and find it locally. I've only seen blue chenille in a fly shop ... once.

    The Thick and Quick chenille from Lion is rayon so it won't rot - but it's fairly large stuff. I'm assuming the attached jig is large also, so it should work.

    Default The sasquatch of chenille

    that is the first time i have seen blue chenille. some day I shall tell my children and grandchildren of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

    I am on the hunt! I will find stuff in blue.

    ps this is what I found searching google. not exactly the same but they come in blue and they are chenille. sorry I tried.

    Blue has become my favorite silver salmon fly color over the past few years. I look for and find lots of blue in local fly shops and craft stores...

    Thanks all for trying to help. I took a close look at the jig itself and relized that the color is somewhat different than the picture. It is a "lighter somewhat purplish blue color"

    ya could allways get the white colour and then use a permanent marker to colour it... i do that when i want colours that i caint get or want a 2tone (dark top & lighter bottom...
