Default One year later same hole

This brown was caught last year in the exact same hole. I was NOT sure it was the same trout until I did a little looking at photos.

The trout was skinnier than last year ...but about 2 inches longer.

    After check the gill plate...

    Last year...

    This year....

    It is the same fish.

The gill plate was noticeably longer too. Last year it looked like a Female....this year a male....

    Last year...

    This year....

It is the deepest hole in 300 yards and the trout hit within 4 feet of last year. Almost a year to the date.

    Smile Same Time Next Year

    spinner,

I hope you will be able to repeat this neat experience next year and we can look at a three year history on this trout.

    Waiting for the sequel.............

    That leopard didn't change it's spots !!

That's a great set of photos, Len. Don't believe I've seen anything quite like that before.

    Nice looking fishy both years.

Outstanding! Thanks for sharing. I fish a local spring creek that has a resident population of nice Browns, guess I'll have to pay closer attention to see if there are any repeats. Great photos.

    Spinner,

Wow what a cool story and great pics. Don't think I've ever seen anyone prove the same fish story before. Congratulations.
