    Default Mustad Equivalent

Hi All. Probably the answer will jump out and bite me, but I looked and was still a little confused as to what the new Mustad hook is for the 2 extra strong, 2 extra long. I think a close equivalent would be the TMC 5262. It may be that with the conversion it is now 1 extra strong, but that is the type hook I'm looking for. Last year I think it was the R72 signature.
    Thanks!

If it was the R72 last year, it will be the R72 this year. The Signature series enumeration is intended to be a standard for the company which will remain the same from year to year.

Thanks Normand. I was about to try to scan a copy of this same chart I picked up at ther Somerset show and place in PhotoBucket for public viewing but you saved me a ton of work.

Man you guys are on the ball. Link to the cross reference chart has already been posted. Great to see the service one gets when they post here.

BobC - how about the new S82-3906B. The R72 was 2X strong and 2X long. The new S82-3906B is 3X strong and 2X long so you will have the same length with a step up in strength. This S82 has a Sproat bend instead of a round bend as well.

Thanks again for all the replies. Dr Fish, I did see the R73 is the equivalent to the 9671, so we'll see what they look like when they get here. I was seeing 3xl on the R73 but the 9671 was 2xl, so taking the new proportions into account maybe it will be roughly the same. They'll get used one way or the other...
    Thx,
