Hi, Len, once again I'll go against popular opinion. I'd stay out of the water as much as possible, and would start at the head of the pool with a streamer, soft hackle or winged wet. I would attempt to fish the entire pool with as little disturbance as possible, except for the darting around of hooked fish. When I reached the tail of the pool, I'd go back to the head and fish through with the nymph of choice. On water this small, I'd never get wet unless there was no choice.
I'd stand away from the bank and about 20ft above the pool - with a 9' 6wt - lob a big fat mouse pattern at the far bank. Then drag it into the water and make it look like it was swimming frantically across. Let it float still for a second or two, and let the current drive it up against the outside bank, then swim it again towards the inner bank...repeat, repeat....
WHAM!
Use a 10-12 ft leader. Baby duckling patterns work as well, but you'll have to tie your own.
