Thread: A bazillion casts later...

    Smile A bazillion casts later...

... and an amazing fish to show for it!

The ice just came off a local sand pit and both the resident, in addition to a local FAOL friend, invited me out for some traditionally good fishing. This fishing was difficult with the ice still lurking on parts of the lake, but we gave it our best.

After a few hours of casting baitfish imitations for fish, one, and only one, fish ran into my fly. Well, it was worth every ounce of work and time!!!

Thanks for looking at my euphoric moment!!!

    Sweet wiper, Scott!

I've fly-fished 3 times in the last week or so...and have yet to see (or catch) any fish. Soon. Soon....

Hey...show us the minnow-imitator you used!!

Once more, sweet fish Scott! Glad you made it out and had a ball.

Just checked again, and sure enough I had no text message or call. (I had one of my ugly all day Thursday's anyway, but we gotta go again before I move.)

Are you gonna tell these guys how long you spent casting with nothing on the end of your line?

Okay, I'm jealous! It'll be a few weeks before we start catching any of those guys around here, but it's oooh so close!
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
