    Hey Dot Man,
I too recall that pleasant evening on the porch of the Hyatt Regency Wyandotte Inn overlooking the AuSable , sippin "shine" and sharing a few lies.
I don't know what my schedule will be for the PAFI but as of now, I'm inclined to be there.

You know the trouble with eating all that food that has been discussed? The rumbling of stomachs and the ill winds that blow afterwards!!!!
I can help with both the boredom and the ill winds. First the boredom. That's real simple. Along about mid February bring your buddies down here to fish the warm water on the Susquehanna at Brenner's Island for stripers, wipers, white bass, muskies, walleye and bass. The fish come up into the warm effluent from the PP&L plant.

Second I will just say one word.....Beano! Here is the link:

Let me know when you want to hit the warm water.

Does the Pine winter over any fish in the Waterville area? Or how far up toward NY will fish winter over if at all?

    Default Anticipation

The anticipation is killing me!!! Five long months to go. In the meantime I'd like to increase my knowledge. Can someone point me in the right direction (either a website or non technical book) on flyfishing other than dry fly. I believe I know the basics of insect life in and on the water but I want more knowledge of what, how and when. I fish zebra midges and so on but only because I catch fish with them. It's confusing to me...midges, larvae, spinners and then you have wet flies, Any help would be appreciated.
I've also consulted several books on the streams that are in the area of Waterville and know what flies are recommended but what works best and in what size?
    Thanks
    Bernie

P.S. Nighthawk...where is Brenners Island in relation to Duncannon, Harrisburg and York?
