Hi all. I was just checking some catalogs and I didn't see SA Ultra 4 line listed, but did see a new "Supra" line. I really liked the soft hand of the U4. Is Supra the successor? I could also go with Rio Classic, but I like the SA line.

The "new" Supra line looks the same as the Ultra 4 to me and the manager of my local fly shop. Same color, same taper, about the same price. Personally, I take it as an opportunity to pick up a few "discontinued" Ultra 4's at clearance prices. After that, the advantage is that Supra lines can be carried by full service shops--no more "Mastery" vs "Professional" shops.

Thanks for the info CC. Yes, I'm going to see about closeouts first, but as you say the price is about the same, and the U4 performed real well with the Orvis rod. This will be for a Scott A series 5wgt, and I think will be a good line for the rod.
