    Default Another Master Passes

Another Old Master has passed on to that Great Trout Stream in the Sky. He has been a idol for me and for anyone who knew him. He promissed to save a spot at streamside for me when I get there.

    Godspeed all and good fishing.

    Default You have my sympathy

You are lucky to have had such a mentor and friend. He'll be with you on every river and creek you pursue. I, too, had a friend who was a WWII vetern. Although not a fishing mentor--he was a life mentor. I learned about the war, the great depression and his boyhood in South Dakota. We hunted and fished in Pennsylvania, where he spent the majority of his life. He is missed but never forgotten.
    Hang in there...

    Cool Our sympathies,

and perhaps you can take a little comfort from something told to me at the funeral when a dear friend passed, "That is just a shell, he is long gone - we will all meet again."

AMEN. You called it just right LF.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

    Default He is with you!!

I'm so sorry to hear that, altho he is in a eternal kingdom watching over you and the ones he loves!! It seems that you both had a special relationship for each other!! I read the article and he seemed like a awesome guy. I guess when the time comes we will all be on that stream together!!!
