We were shoping in the local bead store. (this one is about the size of a grocery store) while there I picked up 500 4mm glow in the dark plastic beads, I'm thinking micro bugger heads etc.
Anyone tie with these? any Ideas?

If these are the shine-a-alight-on-it-first beads, they will work just fine. Bear in mind that when cold (as in trout water) they do not last long. Also, they may not be legal for use in some states.

No, I have not used those beads. I did buy some glow in the dark thread though. I hope to try it out soon...hehehe. Let us know how the beads work for ya.
Been using them in lakes and rivers, for both day and night applications for only about 30years or more.
If you can find the soft GID beads, that come on bait jigs you will find they radiate and last longer and catch/trick more fish in both the fresh and saltwater.
You can even just slide them on your tippet and then connect the selected fly, sub surface type of course.
There is available GID thread that can be added to bodies and or the wing of flies.
Kind regards,
