Anyone have any suggestions for a light line reel. Ive been looking at Cabelas Cahill, Orvis original Battenkill, Okuma, and a few more. I would like to keep it under 75$ if possible. Thanks

I'd avoid the Okuma. I have an Okuma Sierra S 4/5 (that I no longer use) and the slightest amount of dirt is capable of jamming up the drag system.
This would be for a 3 wt. line. So I would like to keep weight and diameter size down.

I would check eBay for the orginal Battenkill or check your local ff shop for one that might be on sale. It is pretty bullet-proof and you should be able to find one to meet your budget.

I am really suprised to here that. I have that exact same reel on my 4wt for 2 yrs now and haven't had a bit of trouble. I happen to like that reel so much I gave one to my nephew for Christmas. Sure hope he doesn't have your luck I'll feel pretty bad.I'd avoid the Okuma.
