Wow that is really pretty. Are those the standard Lamiglass ferrules? Nice use of the stripping guide, it looks light.I hope you don't take offense at some constructive criticism, I think it would look even nicer if you touched up the guide feet with black paint after grinding them.
I have tried touching up the feet, however every method I tried, the color ran. They are not standard ferrules.I have Lamiglas make me custom blanks. I cut and ferrule them myself
Dang thats a nice rod. Whats a rod like that go for, if you dont mind my asking?
2 piece is $200 3 piece is $250. Upgrades are availible(nickle silver/fancy wood reelseat, agate stripper, silk thread wraps)
What are your e-glass rods like? Some guys around here like the old 7' 6" - 8' glass eight weight rods for steelhead.
Greg
Greg,
They are a medium action black colored blank. I also cut and ferrule them myself.
Nice rod. I really like that reel seat. May I ask where you get the reel seat hardware (rings and butt cap)?
Thanks
Dave
Dave,
The hardware is from some discontinued Pac Bay seats.
