    Default AuSable Brookie

Not to out do Betty's beauty of a Cutthroat ( I wish), I managed to score my best brook trout to date on the AuSable (MI) this past week...just before the rains from Ike hit. (South Branch) I didn't have a tape measure but guessing (with rod), it looked to be about 14". It made my day!

Not long after that, my camera went for a swim. I was able to rescue the memory disk...I'm not so sure I saved the camera. That did NOT make my day.

Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

Very nice! It's been years since I've caught a brook trout of any size.
