It is long and a bit wordy but explains my take on the Idaho fish in.

Good Question, I think Lotech summed it up for me. I sure like the smell of woodsmoke on a still foggy Lochsa day. Is anyone staying around for the second weekend. There is a Kennel Club booked there the first weekend also and I'm not sure how tranquil it will be. See you there on the 27th. RR
RR,
VEE and I will be pulling out on the 27th so we can make the Speyclave on the Clearwater. http://www.redshedflyshop.com/CLAVE.html
Not sure how many are clearing out before then, but the 26th is the last "official" day.
Thanks for the info. Have you heard about the kennel club meeting there at 3 Rivers on the first weekend of the Fish-In? I like dogs but I'm just not sure how noisy it will be there. RR
Haven't heard about a kennel club. With the neighbors I have a few barking dogs won't bother us, and the dogs usually don't fish.

I have been reliving my memories of Lowell from last year for some time now and certainly hope to be there this year. However, I am in the Hurricane recovery business and Hurricane Ike may be a problem. We have been challenged with three hurricanes during the last two weeks and now this one. I have crews working in Louisiana and Florida, but was determined to make this trip short of another major hurricane.
I have a friend from Chicago coming along this year and we already have our plane tickets, rental car and lodging laid on. If I don't make it, I have encourage my buddy, Dale Weigand, to go without me. He is new to flyfishing and will need you guidance folks. So, please latch on to him and show him the ropes. He's a great guy and a former Green Beret.

John; I was wondering about you, you're having a busy year! Dale will be in good hands in Lowell never fear.
Do you have his arrival dates and times?
John,
Tell Dale that if he doesn't mind fishing with a retired Airborne Ranger type, I'd be glad to show him around, share some lies, flies, etc.
Ron,
I'm sure he would be honored, as I would.
Jack,
Dale will arrive in Spokane on the 20th. I am scheduled to arrive at noon on the 21st and he is to wait on me. However, if I can't come, he may very well be in Lowell the evening of Sep 20th. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!!
