    Default No pest strips

I am sure this question comes up very often. My problem,(along with many others), is I can't find it doing a search. What I need to know is what strip do you put in with your feathers to stop the bugs? All I can see are the sticky ones. Don't think that would go well with hackle .

    Thanks for your help,
    Floyd

A recent thread spoke about using a dog, flea tick collar cut into pieces to help protect your investment. Be careful about putting those same feathers and tying materials in your mouth or eating while tying etc.

    Floyd,

I'll use a flea collar. Simply cut it in 5-6 inch piece and drop it in. I've never noticed any sticky residue on the flea collars.

    Good luck,

The brand I use is Hot Shot. They are very effective for me. I get them at Lowes or Orchard supply hardware. About 7 bucks.

    Default Bugs

Are bugs a real problem? I keep my material in their original package and have never seen any bugs. Am I just lucky?

    Thumbs up Pest strips found

Found hot Shot strips at local hardware store.

Bob K.-I have not had any problems but as my investment in hackle grows I don't want any bugs in them.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

I think I recall our beloved Al Campbell wrote an article about this. He used the hot shot strips.
