Chicago Leech...Oops!
For those of you who were interested in tying the Chicago Leech that I posted in another thread, and went looking for mohair yarn, I apologize for giving you the wrong name. I tied those flies over a year ago, and forgot what the material was ACTUALLY labeled as, and it's Leech Yarn. I figured that out when I went to replenish my supply this morning. Here's what it looks like:
Sorry if this caused any inconvenience for anyone. The red beads came from a bead assortment I bought at a craft store, and they are a deep blood red, not the ordinary red. They are also available in fly shops in 25 packs of all the same color. These flies shown were tied on #8 Mustad 9672 with a 5/32" brass bead. The red bead is optional, but I like the color so I use them for my flies. They are also tied using black beads instead of the brass, which I believe is the original pattern.
