Default Little Buffalo - Laurel Hill WMA

This will be this Saturday's destination for me and my Dad, hopefully. It's the Little Buffalo River at Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area. It has been stocked with trout earlier this week and should be a good place for fly fishing if not site seeing in general. Laurel Hill is a very beautiful place and I've known the lakes there since I was a kid. Laurel Hill Lake and VFW Lake are the two lakes in Laurel Hill and there are several streams there also.

I'll be trying out my first rod-build in the Little Buffalo! There will be pics...

Nice pictures joe. Looking forward to the report (both the fishing and the new rod).

    Joe -

May you find fair skies, light breezes, and bunches of playful trout. Looking forward to some pics and a report.

After looking at the picture of the Little Buffalo, it reminds me of our Duck River. Pretty similiar. I really would like to make a trip to the Little Buffalo and Laurel Hill Lake and fish them this year. Please post how you done on the Little Buffalo. Thanks

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

Thanks and I will post pics this weekend hopefully! We did see a trout in a spot right next to a low-water bridge and it looked to be at least 12". The Little Buffalo was stocked in four different places and has other branches flowing into it.
