    Great pictures, colorful fish!

The only way I can get pictures that colorful is to wear bright swimtrunks! ;o)

(Oh....uh...just ignore the spinning gear...it was lapse in judgement.)

I LOVE those fish!! If only they could tolerate cooler water temps, then they would INDEED be the PERFECT freshwater gamefish! They often have explosive strikes, will hit topwater and subsurface flies, and are truly one of the most beautiful fish I've ever seen.

I grew one up in my 125 gallon aquarium from about 2" to around 14", until my heater broke and it died. I was BUMMED!

Again, thanks for posting those pictures!!

Is there a time of year when those won't be in the shallows and willing to bite a fly? Or are they pretty active year-round in Florida?

    Well BW,
GRAND fishes! They look like great fighters. Comparable to BG's on steroids?
What really caught my eye, and what I REALLY do like, is the condition of your grip....shows LOTS of constant, hard, loving use!

they are quite active yr round...in the winter you must chose warm days...they are trying to nest right now and are starting to load up in the canals...very easy to get at this point...in 2 more weeks I have a bassmaster coming to fish for them with me...he is pumped up...never got one before...they are there for the taking but I usually will go when its really windy out on the flats
