Went White Bass fishing yesterday evening. Though I caught no Whites, I did manage to catch a 14 inch Walleye . . . that was fun! Caught on a Chartruese over Orange Jiggy.

I went upstream (sunday) from the twin bridges (took the White river branch) about two miles to the first seroius shoales. I got out of my canoe and wade fished the area. I caught 6 whites and one smallie, but the fishing was tough due to high and murky waters. I doubt we'll have much of a white season this year, but I'll give it another try next weekend.
Cool! If you guys are catching whites down there it should be any day now they start in up here. I've picked up a walleye or two fishing for them in the fall, kind of a nice surprise when it happens.
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
It's raining again today, more water and more muddy water . . . we'll be praying for NO RAIN!!! Let some of the water drain out . . .
I've never caught a white bass before. But sure would like too.
Bluegill, have you ever fished for them at Longview? I'm not sure if it is any good there or not. Or do you fish only on the KS side? I'd be interested in tagging along with you sometime if you were willing.
