    Tony A,

I've got to say that this has been one of the most creative and useful fly tying topics to come along in quite a while. First the Tulip paint and now the eyes. Great work!

    Thanks for sharing.

Ahh!!! I love the smell of epoxy in the morning.

Jim, thank you for the kind words! I have been watching, and learning from Flyanglers Online for a number of years now. The people that run this web site has and still seem to amaze me, each and every day. If it was not for them, and the dedication they all put forth to promote fly fishing and tying, my small contribution to this sport would not be seen and shard.

I also make the claws out of a material, that absorbs acrylic paint. Tie a overhand knot for the knuckle. You can put the weight closer or next to the eye of the hook, if you like.I will try to answer any questions on this thread.

I used the Tulip Clear Gellies on this Hiromi Crab. I use a permanent marker and blend it out with acetone.

You can easily color epoxy by adding acrylic paint. Small quantities don't seem to effect the strength.
