Thread: Newbie introduction

    Default Newbie introduction

    Hi my name is Tom.

A ff friend of mine,Heritage Angler, suggested that I join this site...so here I am.

I live in West Chester,PA with my wife Barbara.I am now retired and she still works in the event production business(www.penncora.com).

I have been flyfishing for 40 years and my legs still shake when I tie on a fly while there's a hatch going on.

I fish both fresh and the salt water. My favorite streams are Little J,Penns,Spring,Upper Delaware.
My favorite trips are the annual trip to Rangely Lake Area and Granby ,Colorado (headwaters of the Colorado River)

I also hunt water fowl and have two hunting Labradore buddies:Chip(a chocolate) and Pretzle(a yellow).

My greatest fishing experience was fishing with Bob Clouser on the Susquehanna in 1980 before he became famous.....sometimes you get luck..as they say

When I moved to Delaware from NYS,I wanted to learn how to fish for SM and someone I knew in Delaware recommended him--we fished 2 or 3 days and he was just super nice and knowledgeable.

I hope I can add some small value to this terrific site
    Thanks
    Tom

Hey Tom, Welcome aboard. Lock yourself in your computer room, and explore around. There's an abundance of information for you to wade through in here. Looking forward to your inputs.
    They're just fish, right? Right?

    Tom -

Welcome, and another greeting from SE Idaho.

With forty years and counting with a fly rod, no doubt you have MUCH to offer.

Look forward to seeing your participation, and photos of your local waters and fish, if you do that kind of thing ( photos, I mean ).

    John

    Thumbs up

Hi Tom - Welcome aboard! Lots of good stuff to be found here - the folks here will treat you like family.

    To the Board:

Tom is one of the best people I've ever fished with. He's a VERY experienced outdoorsman, and I highly recommend anyone that gets the chance to fish with him to do so. May you all enjoy his company as much as I do. He's a great addition to the FAOL community!.....Ed
