Thread: Need Help With Monthly Contest

  1. Lightbulb Need Help With Monthly Contest

Am I assuming correctly that if I have already been a registered participant on this web site that I am eligible for the Redington Saltwater rod that is available in this month's March drawing. Am I correct?
I am use to having to register separately each month for each different gift being offered. Could the administrator please make sure that I am registered and eligible to win the Redington rod this month? Thank you very much.

Don't know, but I was wondering the same thing. I tried several times to enter the February drawing but couldn't figure out how.

If you are a registered member you are in the drawing. They will pull from the list of all registered members.

Smile Change back to the old system

I must admit I kind of liked the old way of doing this monthly drawing.

Right now you have a 1 in 7,764 chance of winning a drawing each month (odds are a lot better than Lotto).

However, the old way was set up so that only those people that went into the drawing and registered each month would be eligible for that month.

I can almost guarantee that there are many hundreds of people within that 7,764 who do lot log onto the site at all, yet they could be one of the monthly winners.

I liked the idea that only those people who were active on the site would be in the pool of possible winners. The odds would be a lot better of winning from a smaller pool, plus that old way may have ?forced? people to log onto FAOL each month and register, hence maybe check out the site and possibly jump onto the chat site as well.

JC, when your new system gets up and running is that the way the drawing is going to be conducted?

God, I love it when you speak in acronyms like that. LMAO Ooooh, just realized I did it too. Too funny. I need to go clean my tying room before I get into more trouble.

Maybe it should be all registered who have posted in that month to give those who contribute regularly better odds...
    ... But a lifelong journey.

I choose fly rods the same way I do women, motorcycles, and cowboy boots...
go with what ever feels good, and keep on hand as many as I can afford

the person must respond in 3 days anyways so i assume if they get one of the members who never comes that they pick someone else if they dont respond

Over the past several months, the LAST THINGS I've had any use for are a Nunley bamboo rod, a Kusse reel, and a TFO rod. Right now the LAST THING I need is a Redington saltwater rod.

JC - spare me the suspense and TAKE MY NAME OUT OF THE DRAWING !!!
