Default The rest of the deal

As some of you know my young Son, Wife and I have started
an adventure called Happy Hearts on Mom's Pond.

Please allow me to digress for a moment here:

    Short excerpt from a previous event;
The old truck is diving into a new adventure, Happy Hearts on Moms Pond. Our truck, aka: Harvey will serve as
    Happy Hearts camp Icon.
Our place is located in the Yosemite region. We are very fortunate to hold a small bit of property that lends itself
to nothing but outdoor fun and adventure.

Hence spawned Happy Hearts camp, which will serve as a campground for all those young at heart.

The camps moto, Alis aquilae ; on eagles wings With a River of Thanks for our Troops,
The troop part will always be in the Camps Soul, not the goal...
    Hope this makes sense here...

With all this said, may I ask something very big of all of my FAOL friends. not just because,
Because; FAOL has been in part responsible for the camps origin.

So here is the rest of the deal:

If some would send us one fly with your name and address I will use them as
learning aids at the camp. I would like all sorts and levels in tying for display.
It is not important to look pretty, though I expect some will, I just want
to show our camp guests the importance of attempting a task with a can do attitude.
Your fly depending on it's level will be their trying and tying goal. Wooly buggers , ect...
A local fly from your area would be very special.

I will put a small tag on each of your fly's, you are surely encouraged to tag the one you
    send in to the camp.

One of the camp goals is to be sure each adventure is based a simple sweet lesson.
As we firmly believe, KISS aka: keep it simple and sweet..

Thanks for listening & Take care

Steve, as you have requested, I will send A (some) flies, and be told, mine are very much toward the simple side.

Steve it has been more years than I care to remember since I have tied. But I might be able to dig something up for you. I'd have better luck sending you something someone else tied for me. I will find something for you.

Nice idea - I might send a couple across the pond.

    Steve,

You got it. I'll be sending a couple. Definitely on the "less" complicated side.

I need to be real clear of my intention and enthusiasm to give thanks
here, it is in no way meant to be a promotion on the back of
    my hosts.

FAOL has been most gracious to allow us , me in this case to state what my family
is up to with the camp but, this must not become a free ride.

Please contact me should this be seen as such and no hard feelings..
I appreciate our hosts and all honesty.

    Truly yours...

    Thanks

    Steve

    Default Yeah...nice idea!

I'll send something that is made up of locally harvested material...hopefully to nurture
    any blossoming hunters in camp.

Nice looking fly, that one would be a good one to use..

I will keep the fly in a small sealed baggy to use to show over and over, it should be very cool..

Fly tying has so much to offer while learning and doing..

    Thank you!.......

1st off, thank you, and please remember only one fly is really necessary.. If any at all,
the inspiration here is way over the top alone..
I am not starting a fly shop just a camp curriculum for basic instruction and fun...

I will build a board to have them displayed in clear envelopes to protect them for reuse.
The display will also show locations where and who they are from...

It is beautiful thing. Thank you again - all!

    Just because.....
