I have been swimming around this site for a long time.

During these fine times I have met more than a few fine people here, many of whom I have had exchanges with and certainly expanded my FF knowledge, as well in other areas. I sincerely give thanks for this.

You all have giving me a place to escape during those times when the hill gets a bit tuff to climb and I need my far away waters..
I can go to Alaska or Maine in minutes...


The other day driving around I was thinking and naming all those I am reflecting on now. So Many! So lucky! So grateful!

The recent post about one of our own hurting hurts me, as I have felt too many times in the past when we get these important posts for our prayers and thoughts. Chris; you are in mine right now..

You wonderful people are our America and world, for most of the time displayed at our best!

As a friend wrote to me recently, Honesty, integrity, the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is what this great nation is about,
We are her people FAOL thank you for bringing some of her best together right here...

Very well stated and those are my thoughts about FAOL too. We must not forget that if it was not for the high standards of JC and LF, this site would be just like all others. Thank God it is not. Jim and Deanna have made this site what it is and what it has become....a group of good caring people who enjoy fly fishing and all things associated with it and they are not afraid to share their knowledge.

FAOL is THE BEST and there is no equal to it!

As I wrap up my business , I was going through shelfs and low and behold -- I find a stack of FAOL various posts ,--all teaching moments -- from the Likes of JC ,- Dee, -AC , Neil, -Ree, -Lowteck, -Nighthawk , Baker Joe, Praline , -Betty, -Ed , Chris , Warren , - Bryon , Elk Hunter , -MikeOhio Tuber , -DShock and Many others..---> early mentors and fellow students of this flyfishin game of ours.. --- a stack of at least 250 pages, Looking forward to reviewing it all.. -- Polishing my game ,
