I have a friend that has the 14ft native and he loves it...he is about 6'2 and 240lb and he has no problems at all...he uses a pushpole for 90% of the day and just throws it on top of his truck like everybody else...another feature is it floats really well even after he got swamped by rude boaters
Avalon, I'm 6'1" and 220 and the 12 footer seems like plenty of boat. Don't know if I'd want to try to throw 2 more feet of boat up on my vehicle.

I'm 4 inches and 100 plus pounds bigger and badder than you so I need all the boat I can manage just to keep me afloat!
I'd like to get something besides my big boat because I usually fish alone and the big boat is sort of awful as a one man craft because it's so high sided it's riding around on a sailboard. With 2 or more people in it, it is great but I just spin in circles when I'm by myself!
