    Hey there Diane;
    I'm sure a picture of you and that canoe would get a response in any " personals" column. And THAT would solve the problem of portage . :}

    By gosh, we would help you cart that jewel to any fishing spot! What a GRAND job you did on it.
    We hope to aquire another canoe before our journey is finished. They ARE the perfect fishing vessel.
    Any similar ones laying around?

    Marco, a photo might work in a personals but then I'd be homeless! I think this is one suggestion I won't be sharing with my partner!!

    Thanks for the chuckle.

    Looks almost better than "Brand New", be a shame to put it into the water where it might get a sratch from a rock, just below the water line!

    You do nice work

    It looks beautiful. You'll never find a Mohawk that looks that good. We have a Mohawk that is technically my son's. I got it for him at a birthday present when he turned 16. One thing I found out is that you need to paddle it before you buy. Our Mohawk in nearly as stable as our old Grumman. It also doesn't have a keel so it doesn't track as well as the Grumman did.

    Diane,
    That is a gorgeous job of restoration. Washing off my canoe about once a year is about all I ever manage. Beautiful wood work!

    Diane,
    WOW! That is a real thing of beauty! I love the wood trim. BTW, Cabela's sells a canoe caddy you might want to check out. With the high quality of your work you should open your own shop.

    How did the launch go? Did the boat sail as well as she looks?

    Diane, RW here

    Nice job! I've always loved canoes. Have owned 7 in my life and wouldn't be without one.
