    Question Puke fly recipe

Anyone have a recipe for the puke fly? I did a bunch of googling and came up with a lot of nothing. I have seen it mentioned here by a few people.

    Thank you!

If this is the "Puke fly", you're looking for, it's the only one I've ever heard of!?!

    Hook: 3399 size 6 (range 2 - 6)
Tail: White rabbit (a 'strip' on larger sizes)
Body: Dubbed and well picked out white rabbit
Eyes: A pair of stainless steel beadchain
(Photo and pattern, gladly stolen without permission, because I wanted it)

    Paul,
Did you pick up that Fly at the local Animal Shelter??? It looks like it needs a Home! Real Bad!

No, Doug!! I found it, in a still smoldering pile of "cat-hair balls", left on my back porch!
Actually, it's s true bass fly, invented by a FOUR YEAR OLD, fly tier. He tied it, saying it "resembled the white, gucky, foamy, stuff a bass throws up".
The fly, pictured, IS NOT one of my ties. I don't think, I could/would, insult my own fly boxes with such a fly!? (The problem, is, it PROBABLY catches fish like crazy!?!!)

    Paul,
When I started tying flies back in the Dark Ages, I thought that every fly I tied had to be just like the picture in the Pattern Book! LOL! The fish actually like to bite flies that look "rattier" But I would never include THAT Puke fly in anything but it's OWN Fly Box!

    NICE, tie, Chris!
To ME, this fly sort of resembles a basic "bunny leech" pattern, in odd sort of way, but it's not of course. And, as I stated earlier................. this "fly?", no doubt, will probably be a heck of a bass killer!?!
I'm happy that my recipe worked for you, too!

Thank you, Bill, for the endorsement!! I'm headed up to one of Oregon's premier smallie waters, this spring, for a couple of days and with your recommendation and that of others, sounds like "I'd better get tying up some PUKE!!
