    What a fish! Would have taken a kayak for a nice ride throughout New England.

    Luckily though it was released so you may get a shot at her in the spring when she comes up for a visit. Hope so.

    According to stuff I've seen on the web, a 50" striper would be about 18 years old.

    The formula for estimating weight is length x girth x girth / 800 which would put her at 49 pounds.... since she was released and not killed and actually weighed let's give it a bonus point and call it 50lbs.

    What a great way to wind down the season and congrats to the guy that caught and released her. A beaut of a fish.
