    Nice tie.

I think it will go great with the swap. Never had success with them but they look cool.

I'm thinking I'd like to have the recipe for the on you have tied here. Any way to talk you out of it?

add a cone head to a muddler minnow and you have what is basically in the picture.

GOOGLE up "cone head muddler" for more recipes.

Hey MB ....what size hook? and length 3x or 4x long?? Just picked up some different hooks than the original post except they are 3x long...I think the little extra length looks better. Also, does yours float well???

MB, Nice looking fly. I love fishing them, but hate tying them. I hate spinning deer hair.

Cholcomb, Yours looks good too, but I've never fished one with a cone head. I think a little longer hook would make all the difference in your fly proportion wise.

it's been a looong time sine I tied those, but I'd guess it's on a #2 4x hook. I tie them as large as I can and as small as I can. on the large ones, if I want them to float I grease the hell out of them w/ floatant.
