Hi folks,
I wanna tie this scud, but I don't understand how to braid the materials. Would somebody please enlighten me? Thanks.

RC,
You might want to send a PM to Hans (the photographer). He's a regular contributor and would surely know how to do this particular braid....Best Regards...

Reconized that weave as soon as I saw it. That is the basic tiger weave. You can find it right here on this site. go to advanced tying and it is the first one "tiger weave bitch creek ". This is a very easy weave just take your time the first couple of flies and before you know it you will be whipping them out like you been doing it all your life.
The Pott's weave is another possibility.

tiger weave just gives the color of a tiger.
My bad you are so right that is the potts weave. I have tied several using the tiger weave and they came out like the pic so I assumed that is what it was. We all kknow what we gete when we assume LOL
That is definitely the Potts weave.
Harleybob,
the reason I was searching for this fly is to find a pattern close to a couple of scuds that somebody sent me a swap I ran last year, and I just lost the last one of on a nice fish. I think you were in one of my swaps, so it may have been you? cool

hey RC if it was I will tie a bunch and send them your way when Iget half a minute. If it was not then I will tell you who it was. I have every flie from every swap I have been in.
